Audi camp, maun

Finally arrived in Maun. About 40 degrees. Forgot what is was like to step out of plane and feel like someone was holding a hot hairdryer in your face. Bit of a hold up at immigration when the officer demanded to see all 5 kids birth certificates! That one was a first for me. And of course we didn’t have.Bit of a standoff ensued but eventually after some furious photo scrolling I found a photo of each birth certificate that I took back in 2022. All were very relieved. Not sure what would have happened next if I didn’t find the photos…. Anyway will remember for next time. Eventually found a ride to Audi camp and jumped straight into the green pool! Despite being very discolored it was beautifully refreshing.

Cars delivered on time which was a bonus. They are awesome. 3 rooftop tents on our car and one on Doug’s car. Will spend one more day tomorrow setting up the vehicles and then set off into the bush for 3 nights. Yah!
